Beachgoers in Ras Al Khaimah are asking for services and facilities including restrooms, parking lots and shaded sitting areas to be provided.
They have also asked for families-only and women-only beaches and for the implementation of laws issued by RAK Municipality surrounding clothing.
"We previously received complaints about the lack of services and over the last period a number of parking spots have been added, in addition to beach umbrellas and the construction of non-sandy paths by the beaches," a source at the Tourism Authority told Al Ittihad, the Arabic language sister paper of The National.
