DUBAI // A 9-year-old Emirati girl has won a top prize but one that she won’t be able to use for a few years yet – a new Infiniti Q50 car.
Salama Mohammed won the prize after buying a Polaroid camera at the Arabian Centre mall as part of Dubai Summer Surprises’ Shop & Win promotion.
“I am really happy that I won the car. My mother is going to use the car and I am going to ask her first to take me to Kidzania in our new Infiniti Q50,” she said.
Shoppers at participating malls in Dubai must spend Dh200 for a chance to win a new Infiniti Q50, of which there are 12 to give away during the six-week promotion. Shoppers are entered into a raffle where there are two winners each week.
The other winner in the promotion’s second week, George Ashkar from Lebanon, said: “I went to BurJuman Centre to buy my wife a Rolex watch as a gift. I just got this good feeling when the store representative told me about the promotion.
“I usually don’t participate in raffle draws but as I had 200-odd raffle coupons, the probability of me winning the car was higher, and I did win.”
The draw that won Salama and Mr Ashkar their prizes was held on July 23 at City Centre Me’aisem. There will be three more raffles, on August 6, 13 and 20.
