DUBAI // Online games developed by Dubai Police have been downloaded more than 10 million times in total since their launch.
Col Khalid Al Razooqi, head of Smart Services Department at Dubai Police, said there have been 650,000 downloads in the UAE, 2,200,000 in Saudi Arabia, 845,00 in Russia, 727,000 in the US, 520,000 in Turkey, and 419,000 in Brazil.
He said some of the games - which include ones featuring camel racing and car racing simulators, but with an educational message - topped the download chart for free games in Apple Stores for a while after their release.
Col Al Razooqi said that the games, which were developed by the Dubai Police staff, are a way to get the police force’s messages across in a fun way.
