If you are a sailor with a penchant for a pedicure then this big ticket could be for you.
No, the Village People have not branched out into beauty therapy, but a local spa has teamed up with a yacht company to offer manicures and pedicures on the deck of a yacht.
The owners at Azur Spa say they became a little bored with the beauty market only offering services in fixed locations, such as luxurious hotels and golf clubs. So they decided to charge for a facial on a 40-foot yacht with the waves lapping gently and peacefully at a customer's side.
There are more than 200 spas across the UAE, so standing out is not easy.
"This is especially great for couples, as we often overlook men, and they enjoy the rest and relaxation just as much as women do," said Rana El Eid, the managing partner at Azur. "By bringing the treatment home or on board, we take away the stigma often associated with men who seek these services."
Azur has partnered with Xclusive Yachts, which is based in Dubai Marina and is so exclusive it does not allow the letter "e" into its name twice. The two companies are offering two hours on a yacht for four people at a cost of Dh2,800 (US$762.33). Each person gets a neck, shoulder and reflexology massage on the boat.
Azur and Xclusive can accommodate couples, groups and individual women. They are also targeting parties of people wanting to do something a bit different than the usual hen parties or bridal showers.
Rather than pay for the four-person package, yachts can be chartered for the day and spa services added at extra cost depending on the treatment.
Of course, the bigger the group, the bigger the yacht, the bigger the price tag. The partnership offers anything you can pay for in a normal non-floating spa and the time on the yacht can be extended at any time, at an extra cost.
Other treatments on board the yacht are slightly more expensive than if you were to go into the actual Azur Spa - but you are out at sea.
