Novelist Karen’s third book, The Perfect Lie, comes off the back of her winning the 2017 Montegrappa prize at the Emirates Airline Literature Festival, when she was heavily pregnant with her second son. She started her own travel communications business, Travel Ink in 2011, having worked in hospitality, and talks about how her financial habits have changed as her career has morphed from corporate to entrepreneur to author.
