The Dubai Financial Market General Index was down 1.2 per cent to 1554.04 points. "There is pressure across the board. There is no escaping any asset class this morning, its as if we are all trading the same stock all over the world," said Haissam Arabi, the chief executive of Gulfmena Investments in Dubai. The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange General Index was up 0.2 per cent to 2671.72. Elsewhere in the region, Kuwait's measure declined 0.8 per cent to 6338.70 points. Bahrain's measure lost 0.7 per cent to 1339.21. Oman's measure added 0.1 per cent to 6081.76. Qatar's benchmark lost 1 per cent to 8239.10. The Saudi Tadawul All-Share Index was closed for the day.
