Fancy yourself as part of the global elite? Well, here’s an address that may fulfil your high expectations.
A new five-bedroom villa is up for grabs at a price of Dh20 million at Dubai’s Jumeirah Islands Mansions.
With views of shimmering lake water, the location of this recently completed home is ideal when it comes to privacy; its position on a corner means you have only one neighbour.
The residence spans about 8,453 square feet, and sits on a plot of approximately 13,000 sq ft. Buyers will be spoilt for choice when it comes to space. Downstairs there is a reception room, living room, dining room, lounge area and a sanctuary.
Outside, you are facing a lake in addition to having your own private temperature controlled swimming pool in the middle of a large plot of land that could be transformed into a garden.
Upstairs there’s a family room, five bedrooms with built in wardrobe space and five bathrooms. The standout here is the master bedroom which comes with a roomy en suite bathroom complete with a decently sized Jacuzzi bath mounted on a mini platform.
The property comes with a double garage and separate quarters for a maid and driver.
So, is Dh20 million too high a price tag?
Well, as a new property that has never been lived in, it is a little dusty and dirty inside, the pool is empty and the garden has not been landscaped. But that’s nothing a quick clean-up and the services of a landscape gardener could not rectify.
Plus, it is an exclusive address and there’s only a few of these villas available – only 31 Mansions villas were built.
The price tag is the average of what a five-bed villa on Jumeirah Islands is going for according to Paul Wyatt at Prestige Dubai, the agent marketing the property. Properties that have been lived in and feature fully landscaped gardens are on the market for a little more.
Similar villas at Emaar’s Emirates Hills development are selling for around Dh30m, Mr Wyatt adds.
The villas were auctioned by Nakheel in 2012 and completed this summer.
Jumeirah Islands also has a range of community facilities on offer, including a supermarket, a clubhouse with a gym and other leisure facilities.
Q&A
Hadeel Al Sayegh reveals more about the Dh20 million Jumeirah Islands community:
Tell me more about Jumeirah Islands.
The community comprises a total of 46 residential clusters designed along four themes: Oasis, Islamic, European and Mediterranean.
When was Jumeirah Islands originally built and why was this Mansions villa completed so late?
The community was completed in 2007. This villa is not part of the islands as such, Mr Wyatt explains, adding, “The Jumeirah Islands Mansions were built after they handed over the islands. There’s only 31 of the Mansions.”
Where is the development?
Jumeirah Islands is located east of Sheikh Zayed Road, between interchanges 5 and 6. Nearby communities include Jumeirah Lakes Towers, Jumeirah Park and Emaar’s Springs and Meadows developments.
How much were these properties when they were auctioned by Nakheel in 2012?
A similar five bedroom would have started at Dh15 million.
What are the top features of this villa?
Paul Wyatt at Prestige Dubai says: “Lake view, private pool, large corner plot, the separate quarters for the maid and driver. And Jumeirah Islands is a prestigious address.”
Where’s my nearest supermarket?
There’s a large Spinneys in the nearby Town Centre - part of the Springs and Meadows development – a Waitrose in Dubai Marina and a new community centre at Jumeirah Park has a Geant.
