Standard Chartered appointed Rola Abu Manneh, a former First Abu Dhabi Bank executive, as chief executive for its business in the UAE.
Ms Manneh, who takes up the role immediately, succeeds Julian Wynter, who will be retiring following 26 years of service at Standard Chartered.
Ms Mannah, an Emirati banker, served as a senior managing director and head of corporate and investment banking for the Abu Dhabi region at the UAE's largest lender.
“I am privileged to lead Standard Chartered’s business in one of its strategic markets globally. I am looking forward to continuing the growth of the bank’s business and to strengthening relationships with clients, staff, regulators and the community at large,” Ms Rola said.
