The GCC’s biggest heavy metal band is preparing to record a long-awaited third album.
Released back in 2011, Nervecell's second LP Pyschogenocide is the best-selling metal album released in the UAE (and fourth ever of any genre). It attracted rave reviews in publications across the globe, fuelling several tours of Europe and further afield.
Now, after a four year wait, the death/thrash heroes are preparing to record again.
Nervecell will be hitting the studio in December to begin recording album number three, set for release on Unique Leader Records in 2016.
The band said in a statement: “We have been working on new material for quite some time now and already have a few songs arranged and finalised, with a lot more ideas still floating around at this stage.
“With all the extensive touring schedules and experiences we’ve had during the last four years, it’s only become more certain that the way forward for us musically is to dwell more into the extreme direction, fuelled together with that Middle Eastern rage in our music and maintaining the classic Nervecell death/thrash stance.
“So rest assured, no one will be disappointed!”
