Palestinian actress Leem Lubany, star of From A to B and Omar, and as such perhaps the only actress to have starred in the opening films of both Dubai and Abu Dhabi’s international film festivals (Omar opened Diff in 2013, From A to B ADFF the following year), is leading an apparent Palestinian charge into the cast of season 6 of Game of Thrones.
Lubany is joined in the GoT cast by fellow Palestinian Yousef ‘Joe’ Sweid is known for his work on The Bubble (2006), and Inch’Allah (2012). Sweid has also appeared in the TV show Homeland.
It is not yet known what roles the pair will play - or how long they will survive in the notoriously grisly show. Season 6 of Game of Thrones will air in April of this year.
