The Only Way Is Essex's Joey Essex has proposed to Sam Faiers in Dubai. In the episode, which will be broadcast tonight on Britain's ITV2, the proposal takes place at an undisclosed poolside location. It seems Faiers accepted the ring, previously described by Essex as "well sparkly innit"; she tweeted on Monday that she was a "happy girl". The couple spent two days in Dubai before flying home on March 31. - The National staff

Exams rescheduled amid Bieber fever

Norwegian schools have moved exams that clashed with Justin Bieber's concerts in the country, fearing fans would rather cut class than miss out on an evening with the pop star. "We find it regrettable but we preferred to move forward the Norwegian exams to avoid problems," said Roar Aasen, the headmaster of an upper secondary school in Alesund on Norway's west coast. In total, five schools in the town decided not to hold exams on April 16 and 17 since they coincided with two of Bieber's three gigs in Oslo. - AFP

Finding Nemo sequel set for November

A sequel to 2003's Finding Nemo is set to splash onto the big screen in November 2015. Finding Dory will focus on the character brought to life by Ellen DeGeneres. "I have waited for this day for a long, long, long, long, long, long time," DeGeneres said in a statement. "I know the people at Pixar were busy creating Toy Story 16. But the time they took was worth it. The script is fantastic." The film will be directed by Andrew Stanton, who also wrote and directed Finding Nemo and Wall-E. The next Pixar film, Monsters University, a prequel to 2001's Monsters, Inc, is due out in June. - AFP

Buscemi to direct Vampire Weekend

Steve Buscemi is teaming up with Vampire Weekend for Unstaged, an online series that pairs notable directors with popular music acts. Vampire Weekend's concert at the Roseland Ballroom on April 28 will stream live worldwide on YouTube and VEVO. The band's vocalist Ezra Koenig called Buscemi, who will direct the show, "a wonderful actor, a NYC legend and a great director". Buscemi has directed four feature films, including 1996's Trees Lounge, as well as several Sopranos episodes. Vampire Weekend will release their third album, Modern Vampires of the City, on May 14. - AP

Lohan plays April Fool joke with tweet

Lindsay Lohan confirmed on Tuesday that a cryptic late-night Twitter posting hours earlier that stated she was pregnant was an April Fools' Day prank. Her proclamation that she was expecting a child caused a frenzy on social media and news outlets. On Tuesday Lohan deleted the tweet and said she was having some fun. "Where's everyone's sense of humor?" she wrote. The 26-year-old has until May to enrol in a lockdown rehab to satisfy her sentence in a reckless driving and lying to police case. - AP

Game of Thrones gets fourth season

Game of Thrones will return for a fourth season, HBO confirmed on Tuesday. Filming will likely begin later this year. The show, which returned for its third season on Monday, has also become the most pirated television series in the world. According to the website Torrentfreak, the final episode of the second season was illegally downloaded by about 4.3 million people. "I probably shouldn't be saying this, but it is a compliment of sorts," HBO's director of programming, Michael Lombardo, said in a recent interview. - AFP
