The Hollywood couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are planning to do a film together, reported E! News.

At the Oscars red carpet on Sunday, Jolie told E! about a possible collaboration: "We're talking about it. We have an idea."

The couple met on the set of Mr & Mrs Smith in 2005.

Jolie insisted, however, that the new film will not be a romantic comedy.

"We don't know how funny we are," Jolie said. "And you never know what you want to see an actual couple do. Sometimes it's better if they're not a couple."

Actor Tom Hardy to drive across Siberia for charity

The British actor Tom Hardy will drive across Siberia to raise money for Flack, a homeless charity.

The 34-year-old star of Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy is aiming to raise US$48,000 (Dh176,310) via his journey across the isolated Russian region.

Hardy has set up an online donation page on JustGiving.com, where he writes: "I've been supporting Flack since it first started … So please do cheer me on as I brave the Siberian Steppes by donating whatever you can afford.

"I hope to send the odd pic from along the way if I can work out how to use my phone without taking my gloves off!"

Avril Lavigne wants to judge X Factor

The Canadian musician Avril Lavigne says she wants to be a judge for The X Factor.

"I would be a good addition to the show," she told TMZ.

Lavigne has reportedly approached Simon Cowell about taking one of the vacant judging seats, following the exits of Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger last month.

Lavigne, who appeared as a guest performer during the show's season one finale last December, is the latest personality rumoured to be contending for the judging role.

Us Weekly reported last week that Britney Spears and Janet Jackson are also being considered.

Carnegie Hall's Ensemble ACJW will be leading the Festival's Young Artists' Day, and the ROH will be making its debut visit to the capital.

The performance of Beloved Friend, the story of Tchaikovsky and his muse and patron, Nadezhda von Meck, is the ROH performance slated for April 2.

Bachchan: don't compare Bollywood with Oscars

The actor Abhishek Bachchan thinks the Indian press should stop comparing Bollywood film awards to the Oscars.

"Interesting to see and read a lot of the media comparing … Most seem to think that we need to improve, raise our standards … Wait a minute … Aren't most of our awards run and held by media houses?" Bachchan posted on Twitter Monday. "Take the initiative, we shall follow."

Key findings of Jenkins report
  • Founder of the Muslim Brotherhood, Hassan al Banna, "accepted the political utility of violence"
  • Views of key Muslim Brotherhood ideologue, Sayyid Qutb, have “consistently been understood” as permitting “the use of extreme violence in the pursuit of the perfect Islamic society” and “never been institutionally disowned” by the movement.
  • Muslim Brotherhood at all levels has repeatedly defended Hamas attacks against Israel, including the use of suicide bombers and the killing of civilians.
  • Laying out the report in the House of Commons, David Cameron told MPs: "The main findings of the review support the conclusion that membership of, association with, or influence by the Muslim Brotherhood should be considered as a possible indicator of extremism."
