Several hundred of the first residents of the

Burj Khalifa

have started moving into the tower.

So far, they report back that the living is good. But when the wind storms come, residents feel the impacts.

In the middle of a shamal - a north-westerly wind blowing over Iraq and down the length of the Gulf - last month, one resident said her windows began to creak and the structural columns made unnerving sounds under the force of the wind.
