The third-generation Series 40 made its debut in 1960, with a long wheelbase, iconic styling and a three-speed manual transmission.

The Series 70 debuted in 1984, marking the arrival of an “all-new” Land Cruiser. There were two versions – one a heavy duty workhorse; the other with more car-like comfort.

1998

More changes were made over the years, and in 1998, the Series 100 launched, offering improved four-wheel-drive power in a luxury vehicle.
