Harvey Nichols at Dubai’s Mall of the Emirates is hosting the Swarovski Archive Design Exhibition. The exhibition, which began on November 12, will be on till December 23.

On display to the public are a specially curated selection of crystal-embellished pieces from Swarovski's archives representing the brand's long-standing collaborations with figures from the world of fashion, art and design.

Vintage creations from the maisons of Alexander McQueen, Paco Rabanne and Christian Dior will be showcased alongside pieces by architects Zaha Hadid and Vincent Van Duysen.

Not only are the window displays of Harvey Nichols frosted with Swarovski's crystals to mark the event and the imminent arrival of the festive season, the department store is also selling a limited edition evening bag by Swarovski & Edie Parker. The Dubai branch will house three crystal-covered styles of the bejewelled clutch bags, of which only 120 have been produced globally.

For a limited period, Harvey Nichols will also be offering select pieces from Atelier Swarovski’s autumn/winter 2015 Core and Designer collections. Expected to feature prominently are luxury accessories and jewellery by designers Philippe Ferrandis and Shaun Leane.

Giving insights about the 120-year history of the famous crystal company, family member Nadja Swarovski took part in an interactive in-store session from 4pm to 6pm on Thursday. She also signed copies of Swarovski: Celebrating a History of Collaborations in Fashion, Jewelry, Performance, and Design, a book that contains previously unseen images of projects with well-known artists, producers and couturiers.

The Swarovski Archive Design Exhibition is on level 2 of Harvey Nichols until December 23
