The famed Syrian drama Bab Al-Hara will return for its seventh season this Ramadan, Sharjah TV announced yesterday.
The broadcaster unveiled its schedule for the holy month, with a slew of new dramas and spiritual programmes alongside the return of seasonal favourites.
Gulf drama Hal Manayer will premier on Sharjah TV 1 on the first day of Ramadan (which is yet to be announced but is expected to be around June 17). It follows the trials and tribulations of a young woman attempting to fit in to modern Gulf society.
Sharjah TV is also continuing its traditionally strong strand of religious programming. The series Inaha Al Nabuwa will highlight the different characteristics of the Prophet Mohammed, while La Na'saf Alal Iz'aj is dedicated to examining the different aspects of the daily prayers.
“The corporation’s channels have prepared the necessary programmes to support their tireless efforts and care for spreading cultural awareness in the community, while taking the aspect of meaningful entertainment into consideration,” says Sharjah Media Corporation’s general manager, Khalid Al Midfa.
“The Ramadan programmes this year will be competitive and of superior quality and will continue SMC’s successes in supporting the Emirate’s position as capital of Islamic culture and a safe oasis for families and children.”
Broadcasting details and times will be revealed closer to the start of Ramadan. Don't miss Arts& Life's in-depth guide to Ramadan TV next month.
