Shah Rukh Khan was hurt in an accident this morning while on set at a five-star hotel in Mumbai but is back at work now. The Bollywood actor was in the middle filming a song sequence for the movie Happy New Year when “a car door that was faulty landed on him”, The Hindu reported. Khan sustained minor injuries to his face and shoulders and was taken to Nanavati Hospital in western Mumbai. He was treated and allowed to leave a few hours later.
A statement released afterwards by his publicist said: “Mr Khan had a minor accident on the sets while shooting. He has a minor injury and has got the necessary medical aid. He is absolutely fine now. Thank you for all your wishes.” Happy New Year is directed by Farah Khan and also stars Deepika Padukone and Abhishek Bachchan. It is due out later this year.
