My latest favourite TV show is Khawater hosted by the Saudi personality Ahmed Al Shugairi.
Khawater (“thoughts”) is a month-long programme this Ramadan where Al Shugairi sheds light on issues faced by the Arab world, such as corruption and excessive food wasting.
The best episode so far tackled the issue of Syrian refugees and their lack of access to the Gulf region.
The Arab world needs more people like Al Shugairi; he is a paragon to many youngsters. He believes that Arab nations should act and think in a more altruistic manner.
* Khawater is broadcast on MBC at 6.30pm, Sharjah TV at 7.30pm and 3.30am, and Resala TV at 1.30pm. Check out Ahmed Al Shugairi's YouTube channel to watch all episodes of Khawater: www.youtube.com/user/AhmadAlShugairi

Farage on Muslim Brotherhood
Nigel Farage told Reform's annual conference that the party will proscribe the Muslim Brotherhood if he becomes Prime Minister.
"We will stop dangerous organisations with links to terrorism operating in our country," he said. "Quite why we've been so gutless about this – both Labour and Conservative – I don't know.
“All across the Middle East, countries have banned and proscribed the Muslim Brotherhood as a dangerous organisation. We will do the very same.”
It is 10 years since a ground-breaking report into the Muslim Brotherhood by Sir John Jenkins.
Among the former diplomat's findings was an assessment that “the use of extreme violence in the pursuit of the perfect Islamic society” has “never been institutionally disowned” by the movement.
The prime minister at the time, David Cameron, who commissioned the report, said membership or association with the Muslim Brotherhood was a "possible indicator of extremism" but it would not be banned.
