While the UAE can expect several large-scale hotel openings in the next few years – 2016 is gearing up for the launch of the Four Seasons Abu Dhabi and The Langham, Palm Jumeirah, Dubai – there's still plenty to get excited about in the final months of 2015. Several must-visit properties are expected to launch between now and December 31, including five-star, luxury resorts and a handful of local brands. Here's what you can look forward to.

Rotana will add to its UAE portfolio of more than 30 properties next month when the Capital Centre Arjaan by Rotana opens its doors. The hotel, which is taking bookings for stays from October 1, will feature 259 fully furnished studios and suites, making it ideal for long-term business travellers and families. Situated near Adnec, the new hotel offers all-day dining at its restaurant, Tamarind. Bodylines Fitness & Wellness Club is also available to guests. It includes a gym, a temperature-controlled outdoor swimming pool and separate saunas for men and women. The Jannah Burj Al Sarab, located on Mina Street in the heart of Abu Dhabi's business district, caters for business and leisure travellers. The hotel has 318 rooms and suites, an à la carte restaurant and a rooftop wellness area that includes a gym, pool and Jacuzzi. There are a number of watersports that guests can enjoy, including kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding and kitesurfing classes. It will feature 117 rooms and suites, 15 villas and 61 lifestyle residences, some of which will include private pools, outdoor showers, sky lounges and large roof terraces. Generational responses to the pandemic

Devesh Mamtani from Century Financial believes the cash-hoarding tendency of each generation is influenced by what stage of the employment cycle they are in. He offers the following insights:

Baby boomers (those born before 1964): Owing to market uncertainty and the need to survive amid competition, many in this generation are looking for options to hoard more cash and increase their overall savings/investments towards risk-free assets.

Generation X (born between 1965 and 1980): Gen X is currently in its prime working years. With their personal and family finances taking a hit, Generation X is looking at multiple options, including taking out short-term loan facilities with competitive interest rates instead of dipping into their savings account.

Millennials (born between 1981 and 1996): This market situation is giving them a valuable lesson about investing early. Many millennials who had previously not saved or invested are looking to start doing so now.
