New Star Wars attractions to be unveiled at Florida’s Disney World

A raft of new Star Wars-themed attractions have been unveiled at Disney World, just in time to capitalise on the forthcoming latest release in the mega-franchise.

Now open at the Florida theme park is the Star Wars Launch Bay, plus a reworked Star Tours.

The new exhibits are expected to celebrate the expanded universe of characters to be revealed in seventh instalment The Force Awakens, to be released regionally on December 17.

Visitors can also expect the shop to cash-in with new memorabilia, series-inspired artwork, gifts and collectibles.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens receives a regional premiere at Abu Dhabi's Emirates Palace on December 16 – one day before general release – after large chunks of the movie were shot in the UAE.
