This weekend’s concerts of the Dubai Shopping Festival concert series have been indefinitely postponed in mourning for the late Saudi King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

The Thursday and Friday shows scheduled to take place at the Dubai Media City Amphitheatre, featuring Palestine’s Mohammed Assaf, the Emirati Lebanese singer Diana Haddad, Emirati star Hussain Al Jasmi and Iraq’s Kadim Al Sahir, have been delayed “until further notice”, said a statement released by organisers.

Ticket holders can visit Virgin Megastores and websites where they purchased the tickets from Platinumlist and Ticketmaster for refunds.

The Dubai Shopping Festival’s concert series came to an abrupt close after the Saudi king’s death was announced on January 23. Other DSF gigs postponed include a double bill featuring Kuwaiti artists Abdallah Al Rowaished and Nawal El Kuwaitia.
