Lloyd Banks and The Game end 11-year feud in Dubai nightclub

Hip-hop heads the world over have been cheering — or, just maybe, rueing — a surprise snap of rap heavyweights Lloyd Banks and The Game hanging out in Dubai.

A tender moment which closes 11 years of reported “turf war beef” between the pair, the photo has sparked fresh hopes of a full G-Unit reunion, the group both found fame with a decade ago.

The Game sealed the peace with a rambling Instagram post which ended “I can’t speak for Banks, but my pride was swallowed last night ... Whatever it’s gone be is what it’s gone be, I said my peace”.

Posted on February 18, the image was snapped in nightclub Provocateur, where The Game was making a surprise appearance on the mic, and attracted more than 100,000 “likes” and 8,000 comments.

But those hoping this could signal the first steps towards a full G-Unit reunion can reclaim their seats. While four-fifths of the 2004-5 “peak” line-up reconvened in 2014 — 50 Cent, Banks, Young Buck, and Tony Yayo dropping fresh material — The Game was kept out of the loop due to a long-standing beef.

And while Banks may be ready to bury the hatchet, the ever-vocal 50 Cent made it clear he would not be so quick to forgive and forget.

“What do you see when you look at this picture? I see confusion, I’m not sure if it’s just me,” ranted Fiddy in an even-more-rambling response to The Game’s message.

Still, just maybe, a piece/peace of hip-hop history went down in Dubai. Maybe ...
