Comptoir 102 X Nada Debs

Lebanese design prodigy Nada Debs launched her latest collection at Comptoir 102 in Dubai earlier this month. The Now & Zen range features delicate-looking lamps, brightly coloured pillows and handbags, tables constructed from concrete and mother-of-pearl, and platters etched with handcrafted designs. Beirut-based Debs, who grew up in Japan and has studied and worked in the United Kingdom and United States, is known for her novel approach to interior design, combining traditional Arabic craftsmanship and a more minimalist Japanese aesthetic. She launched her company, East & East, in 2000, and her trademark pieces include the Floating Stool, Arabesque Modern Armchair and mother-of-pearl mirrors. Concept store Comptoir 102 has carried Debs's pieces since its inception in 2012, alongside an eclectic mix of fashion, jewellery and furniture from local and international designers such as Isabel Marant, Jade Jagger, Papier Tigre and Sika Design.

Givenchy

A growing number of luxury brands, from Burberry to Dolce & Gabbana and Marc Jacobs, are making a foray into children's wear, and Givenchy has just announced that it will be joining their ranks with a mini-me collection. For its first autumn/winter 2017 kids' range, out in July, the French label has put together denim, couture looks and streetwear, including hoodies and sweater dresses, for children up to 12 years old. Also included are house classics such as bombers and jogging pants. Like the brand's regular collections, Givenchy Kids will be produced twice a year, with each season offering about 130 pieces. The upcoming line bears Givenchy's signature embroidered star, and centres on shades of blue, black, red, beige and anthracite for girls and boys, while babies can be clothed in a delicate palette of pearl grey, dewy pink, white and ecru, with the occasional flash of red. Givenchy Kids is priced from Dh320 to Dh1,200.

Chloé

Chloé's spring/summer 2017 campaign exudes a boyish, on-the-beach vibe, evident across its clothing and accessories lines. Accordingly, the French luxury brand channels the effortless tomboy spirit that defined its collections in the 1970s in a new range of sunglasses: Nola. The sporty, graphic lines of the frames have a double upper bridge, cast in engraved gold metal. The deep, chunky front of the metal frame is offset by the languid curves of the lenses. Available in either teardrop or square shapes, the lenses come in five gradient shades of brown and grey, each with a subtle mirroring effect, making them perfect for a bright summer's day.

The Parisian clothing and accessories label Cerruti 1881 has unveiled a new collection of watches and jewellery to celebrate its half-century this year. The Summer Blue collection stands out for its clean lines and minimalist design, paired with the craftsmanship and attention to detail that the brand's founder Nino Cerruti is so well known for. It comprises timepieces in shades of blue and sturdy metallics, and rings, earrings and pendants in yellow gold with Swarovski crystals, zircons and ceramics. The elegant Dervio timepiece is ideal for the daytime, while the rose gold and black detailing of the Ruscello makes it pair perfectly with a suit or evening wear. Women can choose from the Rieti, which comes with a dainty two-tone bezel, Swarovski sparkles and a mother-of-pearl dial, or the more clean and classic Monterotondo. Cerruti started off as a menswear label in 1967 – Italian entrepreneur Nino gave Giorgio Armani his first break as a designer – and currently offers ready-to-wear, sportswear, fragrances, leather goods, watches, jewellery, sunglasses and writing instruments.
