The poster for Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's upcoming film Jazbaa – her first film since 2010 – was launched online on Tuesday, May 19.

The poster features the 41-year-old actress kneeling in the dust against a city’s skyline. “J A Z B A A. THIS IS THE FIRST LOOK POSTER,” director Sanjay Gupta tweeted.

The crime thriller is being officially launched at Cannes film festival, with both Bachchan and Gupta in attendance. The former Miss World has done “a few daredevil stunts” and has shot for the film in extreme conditions, her publicist said.

Jazbaa is the Hindi remake of the 2007 South Korean movie Seven Days, and tells the story of a lawyer forced to help a convicted killer. It also stars Irrfan Khan, Anupam Kher, Shabana Azmi, Jackie Shroff, Atul Kulkarni, Abhimanya Singh, Chandan Roy Sanyal and Siddhant Kapoor. Produced by Essel Vision, White Feather Films and Viking Entertainment, it will be released on October 8 in the UAE and on October 9 in India.
