Jamie Foxx has returned to the studio to begin work on his new album and has recruited Kanye West to produce it. "We are going to work on some music with Kanye, will.i.am and a few other people," Foxx told Bang Showbiz. Winehouse up for posthumous Brit Award
The late Amy Winehouse has been nominated for a Brit Award, joining acts such as Emeli Sande and Paloma Faith in the running for best British female act. Winehouse, who died in July 2011, was eligible as a result of the release of her Lioness: Hidden Treasures album. Sande, Mumford & Sons and Alt-J led the nominations for Britain's premiere music awards, with three each. Other nominees include the Rolling Stones, up for best live act against Coldplay, Mumford & Sons, Muse, and The Vaccines. Burnett talks new reality show The Job
Mark Burnett says reality TV shows don't have to be mean to work. The veteran producer of Survivor and The Voice is working on a new show, The Job, premiering in February. It depicts candidates applying for jobs at several companies, taking viewers through the nerve-racking experience. "I think I've proved in the last few years a kinder approach on television does work," said the British-born producer. The first two episodes feature candidates applying for jobs at a restaurant chain and at Cosmopolitan magazine. - AP
Black Sabbath readies new record with Ozzy
The original line-up of Black Sabbath - Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi and Geezer Butler - are releasing their first studio album together since 1978's Never Say Die. The new album, 13, is due out in June. After their drummer Bill Ward left the band last year, they've tapped Rage Against the Machine's Brad Wilk to fill in. Trey Parker and Matt Stone start production company
The South Park creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker have launched their own production company, Important Studios. The company's value is estimated at US$300 million (Dh1.1 billion), built on revenue from South Park. Stone and Parker said in a statement that they intend to have greater control over their forthcoming projects, one of which is a film adaptation of their Broadway megahit The Book of Mormon. What is a robo-adviser?
Robo-advisers use an online sign-up process to gauge an investor’s risk tolerance by feeding information such as their age, income, saving goals and investment history into an algorithm, which then assigns them an investment portfolio, ranging from more conservative to higher risk ones.
These portfolios are made up of exchange traded funds (ETFs) with exposure to indices such as US and global equities, fixed-income products like bonds, though exposure to real estate, commodity ETFs or gold is also possible.
Investing in ETFs allows robo-advisers to offer fees far lower than traditional investments, such as actively managed mutual funds bought through a bank or broker. Investors can buy ETFs directly via a brokerage, but with robo-advisers they benefit from investment portfolios matched to their risk tolerance as well as being user friendly.
Many robo-advisers charge what are called wrap fees, meaning there are no additional fees such as subscription or withdrawal fees, success fees or fees for rebalancing.

Weather warnings show that Storm Eunice is soon to make landfall. The videographer and I are scrambling to return to the other side of the Channel before it does. As we race to the port of Calais, I see miles of wire fencing topped with barbed wire all around it, a silent ‘Keep Out’ sign for those who, unlike us, aren’t lucky enough to have the right to move freely and safely across borders.
We set sail on a giant ferry whose length dwarfs the dinghies migrants use by nearly a 100 times. Despite the windy rain lashing at the portholes, we arrive safely in Dover; grateful but acutely aware of the miserable conditions the people we’ve left behind are in and of the privilege of choice.

What is Financial Fair Play?
Introduced in 2011 by Uefa, European football’s governing body, it demands that clubs live within their means. Chiefly, spend within their income and not make substantial losses.
What the rules dictate?
The second phase of its implementation limits losses to €30 million (Dh136m) over three seasons. Extra expenditure is permitted for investment in sustainable areas (youth academies, stadium development, etc). Money provided by owners is not viewed as income. Revenue from “related parties” to those owners is assessed by Uefa's “financial control body” to be sure it is a fair value, or in line with market prices.
What are the penalties?
There are a number of punishments, including fines, a loss of prize money or having to reduce squad size for European competition – as happened to PSG in 2014. There is even the threat of a competition ban, which could in theory lead to PSG’s suspension from the Uefa Champions League.
