2. Later Spice Girls years: As the world embraced the new millennium, Victoria, who married English footballer David Beckham in 1999, started to embrace a new look. She became increasingly fond of black and started to develop her now-famous pose. This pink Rebecca Davis top and skirt (pictured right), which sold for £656 (Dh4,009), was worn to the VH1 Vogue Fashion awards in Los Angeles in 2000. George De Sota / Newsmakers -

3. WAG phase: With a national sporting icon for a husband, it was only natural that Victoria would become the one of the world’s most famous WAGs (short for footballers’ wives and girlfriends). Rarely photographed without Becks, her look at this time was defined by tousled hair, big statement sunglasses and spaghetti-strap tops. Grayson Alexander / Retna Ltd / Corbis -

5. The ‘Pob’: Victoria Beckham doesnt just set clothing trends. Her hair styles have also garnered serious fashion following and in 2006, she was credited with popularising the tapered bob – long at the front, short at the back – which became known as the “Pob”. Anyone who was anyone sported the Pob, including Katie Holmes, Jennifer Aniston, Rihanna and Eva Longoria. Ethan Miller / Getty Images -

6. LA blonde: Coinciding with the family’s move to Los Angeles in 2007, Posh embraced the California look, turning her chocolate brown locks platinum blonde. She carried the look well and embraced bright, sunny colours, but the new shade didn’t see out the year. VB wore this bright Louis Feraud dress (pictured left) to the Chanel spring/summer 2008 runway show in Paris. It is up for auction today at 12.31pm with a starting price of £1,750 (Dh10,699). -

7. The pixie cut: Still experimenting with new hair dos, in 2008 Victoria famously sported a pixie hair cut, which perfectly framed her delicate face. It wasn’t the first time she had sported such a tight cut though. The singer also went short in 2000. Carlos Alvarez / Getty Images -
