Ian McShane joins cast of Bilal

Ian McShane is the latest name to join the cast of the Dubai-produced animated epic Bilal.

The actor, director and voice-over artist is probably best-known to global audiences as Blackbeard from Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, though UK audiences will forever remember him as Sunday night's antique dealing super sleuth Lovejoy. He has also appeared in Kung Fu Panda, Coraline, and won a Golden Globe for his role in Deadwood.

Bilal tells the story of the eponymous African former slave and eventual leader, voiced by Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje. The movie is slated for release at the end of this year, and the recently released trailer has already notched up over 1.5M views on YouTube.
