Last night Hype magazine showed Dubai how to hold an awards ceremony.
The venue, Meydan’s White Club, provided the perfect setting for what was an outstanding and excellently executed night.
The who's who of Dubai's nightlife gathered for a rare night off. Winners of the night included Dubai favourites the Smokingroove brothers for best DJ, DJ Somali for best breakthrough DJ, Hollophonic for best local act, while the outstanding contribution went to Mike Bufton of Audiotonic.
Sandance, unsurprisingly though deservingly, got the best festival award and DJ Schooly won for best producer. Charl Chaka’s Global Funk also got a well deserved nod for the best alternative night.
