Dubai high-end real estate agent Dubai Luxury Living has posted a photo on Instagram, presumably from one of the flats in Central Park Tower, DIFC, of what appears to be a rather large film set.
The set features what appears to be parts of a crashed spaceship surrounded by rubble, as well as one of the longest green screens we’ve ever seen.
We don't like to jump to conclusions, but with Star Trek Beyond currently filming in Dubai, could the presence of a crashed spaceship and a huge green screen be related in any way?
Perhaps it makes perfect sense that such champions of Enterprise as the eponymous Star Ship Enterprise’s cast should end up shooting in Dubai’s International Finance Centre.
Last week, the film’s cast and crew – including Simon Pegg and Chris Pine – were officially welcomed to Dubai, where part of the sci-fi sequel will be filmed over the next few weeks.
