Guarding against germs is a difficult task. However, steam cleaners, which function by heating water into steam at 100°C, can be used on a variety of surfaces, to remove dirt and grime and to sanitise.

Steam cleaners are capable of removing encrusted dirt and effectively disinfecting surfaces while reducing the presence of germs by about 99.9 per cent. Steam cleaners save time and effort as they are easy to transport between various living spaces and surfaces.

They can be used on anything from floors, carpets and upholstery, to sinks, wall tiles, windows, mirrors, toys and hobs.

Temperature is the key component in steam cleaning as the surface tension of steam molecules is similar to a solution containing water and a cleaning agent or detergent.

As such, steam machines do not require detergents to disinfect surfaces, and do not add pollutants or irritants back into the atmosphere, which can aggravate or trigger allergies. It is recommend that you steam clean at least once a week.
