Hamaari Adhoori Kahaani shooting in Dubai

The current production line of Bollywood blockbusters passing through the UAE shows no sign of letting up, and it’s Dubai’s turn in the limelight.

News reaches us that Hamaari Adhoori Kahaani, starring Vidya Balan and Emraan Hashmi, is filming in the city for the next 15 days.

The film is reported to be something of a biography of its producer Mahesh Bhatt and is directed by regular Bhatt collaborator Mohit Suri (the two have previously worked together on Murder 2 and Zeher, among others).

Balan and Hashmi were spotted shooting scenes at Dubai International Airport on Monday night, and we understand that further shoots will take place around the city, including on Sheikh Zayed Road, Business Bay, Heritage Village, and other locations around Bur Dubai, Jumeirah and Dubai Marina.

Jamal Al Sharif, chairman of Dubai Film and TV Commission and managing director of Dubai Studio City, commented on the latest arrival: “A growing number of Bollywood productions are selecting Dubai as their premier filming location. This is testament to the emirate’s development into a leading global production hub.

“Dubai Film and TV Commission has worked hard to support Dubai’s growing film and production industry, and Hamari Adhoori Kahaani looks set to be a huge Bollywood hit. We are delighted that they have chosen Dubai and its diverse locations to film parts of the movie.”
