There was once a time when anyone stuck on a game had to buy a dedicated guidebook or wait several months until a magazine printed a walk-through.
Then came the internet, and with it numerous sites dedicated to helping you beat the baddies and go up a level. Now Valve, the developer behind the game-changing Steam online platform, has launched Steam Guides, giving players instant access to layer-created hints, tips and walk-throughs without the need to even open up a browser.
And with more than 2,000 guides currently available, the days of alt+tab could well be numbered. Visi www.steamcommunity.com/guides.
