Exclusive clothing range based on Emirati cartoon favourite Mansour coming to Mothercare

While fans of Emirati children's cartoon series Mansour are waiting for new episodes, with season three coming "in the next few months", they will soon be able to show their love for the popular character in the clothes that they wear.

In October, Mothercare will launch an exclusive Mansour range, including pyjamas, socks, shoes and other items for kids ages 2 to 10 years old.

The new range will join existing merchandise, including trolley bags, pencil cases and lunch boxes, which are already available at major retailers throughout the UAE.

“Just five years ago, Mansour was just a character who lived in my imagination, so it is amazing that today he has fans all over the UAE and GCC,” says Rashed Al Harmoodi, creative and executive producer of Mansour. “Seeing Mansour side-by-side with other global characters on retailer shelves is a dream come true, and it is exciting to see the joyful faces of children as they start the new school year carrying Mansour’s school set. These products are not only appropriate for the new school season, but also as Eid gifts.

“The addition of clothing items to the line, sold exclusively at Mothercare starting next month, means young fans of Mansour will have numerous products to choose from for any occasion.

“It is truly amazing to see this dream turn into a reality, which I can now share with children not just through television screens but merchandise as well.”

Mansour arrived on TV in 2011, with the aim of engaging children and raising awareness of the exciting opportunities available as a result of economic development in the region.

Leading by example, Mansour encourages youngsters to maintain a strong bond with their cultural heritage and appreciate the vital role they can play in the country’s future.

The character has so far appeared in 76 episodes of the first two seasons show, with a 26-episode third season commissioned by Cartoon Network Arabic.
