A daredevil stunt that was being shot in Abu Dhabi for the Bollywood action movie Dishoom ended in a rush to the hospital on Wednesday for the film's action director, Allan Amin. But, eager to prove his dedication to the cause, Amin was back to work again only a few hours later.

The film’s star, Varun Dhawan, wrote:

“Standing with the champion action director of #dishoom. Last night when a stunt went bad he got 9 stitches was rushed to the hospital. But after some time he was right back to make sure I was safe. These are the people and the workhorses of our great industry that inspire me. Thank you #allanamin”

Amin has directed stunts in India's Bollywood, Tollywood and Mollywood film industries. He received the Filmfare Award for Best Action in 2001, 2004 and 2006 for Mission Kashmir (2000), Qayamat: Coty Under Threat (2003) and Dus (2005).

It is not known where abouts in Abu Dhabi the accident took place. But one of Dishoom’s production team, ze_lyer, posted pictures on Instagram taken “on set” at Ferrari World Abu Dhabi in the early hours of Thursday morning.

Dhawan has also posted a video on Instagram of himself pumping iron at the gym. He is keen to ensure his muscles are suitably bulging in preparation for an upcoming scene for Dishoom, in which Dhawan will appear bare-chested alongside the ever-ripped John Abraham.
