Dance, photography, music and light painting will fuse together on stage for a musical production organised by Alliance Francaise Dubai this month.
Turn Off the Light will see artists of different disciplines string together a story through visual elements, calligraphy, hip-hop dance and contemporary movement. The show will be staged in Dubai on October 20.
The French company is headed by Julien Breton, who is the calligrapher and artistic director of the production. Stephanie Naud, a contemporary dancer and B-Boy Razy Essid will match moves to a live set by DJ One Up. Cisco Gallard will add to the show with live photography and Vincent Potreau will be responsible for the dynamic lighting effects.
Turn Off the Light will be staged at the Dubai College Auditorium on October 20 at 8pm. Tickets are from Dh80 for adults and Dh40 for students under 18. Tickets can be booked on dubai.platinumlist.net
