Indian designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee, who will open Amazon India Couture Week 2015 later this month in New Delhi, says his show promises to be exclusive – this time, French footwear designer Christian Louboutin’s iconic red-soled footwear will be seen on the catwalk.
“We are delighted that Sabyasachi Mukherjee opens the Couture Week. His collaboration with Christian Louboutin brings to Delhi a bonanza of design expertise,” said Sunil Sethi, president, Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI), said in a statement.
“FDCI presents Amazon India Couture Week, a stellar showcase bringing forth the best of India’s fashion and it is indeed a privilege to be chosen to open the week. This year, the show will be even more special as the iconic red soles by Christian Louboutin will be seen on my ramp.
“It will be a unique shoe collection resulting from a first-time creative collaboration between Christian Louboutin and me,” said Mukherjee.
Louboutin is expected to make an appearance during the five-day event. Amazon India Couture Week 2015 runs from July 29 to August 2 at Taj Palace Hotel in the Indian capital.
