Bobbi Kristina in induced coma

The daughter of the late pop star Whitney Houston and the singer Bobby Brown was placed in a coma to stop brain swelling after she was found face down and unresponsive in a bathtub in her Georgia home on the weekend, family friend Kim Burrell told Access Hollywood. Brown was found in the bathtub by her partner, Nick Gordon, and a friend. Brown and Gordon referred to each other as husband and wife and told media that they were married. But Brown's father, Bobby Brown, said in a statement that the two were never legally married. "To correct earlier reports, Bobbi Kristina is not and has never been married to Nick Gordon," said a statement issued by Bobby Brown's lawyer. "We are currently investigating the events that led to the hospitalisation of Bobbi Kristina," the statement said, adding that the family requested privacy. – Reuters

Kareena Kapoor takes on challenging new role

Kareena Kapoor has been signed on to star in Rajkumar Gupta's new project, NDTV reported. Kapoor will portray a schizophrenic woman who gets caught up with original crime. The film, which is said to be based on a true incident, apparently explores section 84 of the Indian Penal Code, which states that a person of unsound mind cannot be deemed guilty of a criminal act. The film will go into production in April. Kapoor is currently filming Kabir Khan's Bajrangi Bhaijaan with Salman Khan. – The National staff
