The Rib Room at Jumeirah Emirates Towers already serves steaks fit for a king, but now it’s adding a side order of pop to the menu too, in the form of its new resident artist, Julie Zorrilla.
Colombian-born Zorrilla battled her way to the last 24 of 2011's Season 10 of the US talent show American Idol, before Simon Cowell and his sidekicks cruelly decided that her rousing rendition of Kelly Clarkson's Breakaway just didn't cut the mustard.
Not one to wear a chip on her shoulder, however, Zorrilla has now touched down in Dubai, and fans will have a rare opportunity to catch her set of Latin-themed shakers and international accoustic numbers every Wednesday and Thursday at The Rib Room from 7.30pm to 10.30pm, until the end of May.
On Fridays, it’s a case of “out of the frying pan, into the fire” for the Latino star, as she’ll be crossing the Emirates Towers lobby to perform at Mundo’s Friday brunch. The big question is - will she fill it? For reservations call 04 432 3232.
