OSN to launch pop-up Marvel Channel

The new channel will celebrate the release of Thor: Ragnarok

OSN is lining up some of the best Marvel movie hits to celebrate the cinematic launch of Thor: Ragnarok.

From October 20 to November 4, 2017, catch Thor, Captain America, the Iron Man trilogy, The Avengers and Doctor Strange on OSN's dedicated channel, OSN Movies Marvel Studios HD, for non-stop superhero entertainment.

The channel is the first ever dedicated Marvel channel for the region, offering nine blockbuster movies and non-stop action; with subscribers also being able to catch-up and rewatch favourites anytime on OSN Play.

In cinemas, meanwhile, the latestinstalment of Thor's adventures releases on November 2, with Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddlestone returning as Norse warrior Thor and his meddlesome brother Loki. They star alongside an all-star cast including Jeff Goldblum, Idris Elba, Cate Blanchett, Mark Ruffalo and Anthony Hopkins.

The latest movie sees Thor imprisoned on the far side of the universe, where he is forced to do battle with his former ally The Incredible Hulk (Ruffalo) as part of his mission to save his Asgardian homeland from the evil Hela (Blanchett).

The channel follows on from previous pop-up channels including James Bond, Fast & Furious and Rocky, and is one of 10 pop-up channels OSN has launched or will launch this year.

OSN Movies Marvel Studios HD will be available on OSN channel 7 from 10am on October 20
