Is this the new 'Stranger Things'? Trailer for 'I Am Not Okay With This' racks up a million views in 24 hours

News of the fourth season of Stranger Things may have only just been announced, but fans can already look forward to an entirely new show, currently being billed as its successor.

I Am Not Okay With This will debut on Netflix on Wednesday, February 26, with several familiar names behind it.

The seven-episode series is helmed by Stranger Things producers Shawn Levy and Dan Cohen and Jonathan Entwistle, the director of The End of the ... World.

The show is described as an "irreverent origin story" that "follows a teenage girl who's navigating the trials and tribulations of high school, all while dealing with the complexities of her family ... and mysterious superpowers just beginning to awaken deep within her".

Naturally, given the creative minds involved, excitement over the show has reached fever pitch.

After Netflix posted its second teaser video to YouTube on Monday, it racked up a million views within 24 hours.

And if Stranger Things is anything to go by, it probably comes as no surprise that the teaser begins with a blood-soaked girl sprinting from police.

It comes just days after the release of the new trailer for season 4 of Stranger Things.

The teaser for the highly-anticipated next instalment was released on social media last Friday with the message "From Russia with love ..."
