Filipino-American comedian Jo Koy is coming to Dubai. The comic is set to bring his Just Kidding world tour to the Coca-Cola Arena on Monday, January 20, marking his debut performance in the emirate.

"This will be my first time performing in Dubai, and I’m so excited I get to do it at the Coca-Cola Arena," Koy said of the gig. "This has been a dream of mine, and I can’t wait to get there and make you all laugh. Get ready Dubai!"

Known for his stints on Chelsea Lately and his Netflix special, Comin' In Hot, Koy has an "infectious and explosive energy on-stage", often pulling inspiration from his family, specifically his son and mother, which gives his comedy universal appeal. His father is American and his mother is Filipina.

Currently on the first leg of his tour, he is making his way around North America in November, before travelling to Australia and New Zealand in December. Before his UAE date, he has gigs in Cebu and Manila in the Philippines in January.

Koy is not the first comedian to take to the stage at the Coca-Cola Arena. Comedian Russell Peters brought his Deported tour to Dubai for the very first show at the arena on June 6, 2019.
