Listen: Bruce Springsteen releases new single 'Hello Sunshine'

The Boss will release his first studio album in five years later this year

Bruce Springsteen has announced his first studio album in five years, describing it as “a jewel of a record”.

Western Stars, which recalls the southern California pop records of the late 60s and early 70s, will be released on June 14. "This record is a return to my solo recordings featuring character driven songs and sweeping, cinematic orchestral arrangements," says the 69-year-old.

Western Stars was produced by Ron Aniello and features guest appearances by David Sancious, Charlie Giordano and Soozie Tyrell.

The first single from the album, Hello Sunshine, was released today and you can listen to it here.
