Bruce Springsteen has announced his first studio album in five years, describing it as “a jewel of a record”.

Western Stars, which recalls the southern California pop records of the late 60s and early 70s, will be released on June 14. "This record is a return to my solo recordings featuring character driven songs and sweeping, cinematic orchestral arrangements," says the 69-year-old.
