Fans in the UAE will have to wait a little long to be Starry Eyed, as Ellie Goulding's performance in Dubai has been postponed. The British singer-songwriter was due to take to the stage at Coca-Cola Arena on Friday, January 10, with her one-night-only show announced last November. However, the Love Me Like You Do star's show has been put on hold due to "the artist's schedule being re-worked for 2020", a spokesperson for Coca-Cola Arena told The National. "When a new date is confirmed details will be shared," the spokesperson said. The venue added that tickets for Night Lights with Ellie Goulding had not officially gone on sale, so no fans are expected to be financially impacted by the news. According to Goulding's website, her only confirmed live performance for 2020 so far is in Sweden's Stockholm on Friday, June 26. The 33-year-old singer is currently holidaying in the US, after scoring the last No 1 single of 2019 in the UK with her cover of the 1971 Joni Mitchell track River. Goulding was last in the UAE back in 2015, when she took to the stage during Dubai Music Week at Dubai World Trade Centre. She also performed at Sandance on New Year's Eve in 2012. While the Burn singer may not be in the UAE this month, music fans aren't short of options when it comes to gigs, with both Scottish crooner Lewis Capaldi and pop heavyweight Robbie Williams set to perform in Sharjah and Dubai respectively.
