Saudi hip-hop artist and rapper Qusai has landed a role in the Arab version of the animated film Spies in Disguise. Alongside Lebanese television presenter Raya Abirached, the duo will voice characters in the Arabic version of the film. Spies in Disguises followes two characters who are exact opposites: scientist Walter Beckett and super spy Lance Sterling. Qusai will voice the character of Sterling, who is voiced by Will Smith in the original. Tom Holland and Karen Gillan also star. “As soon as I was approached to voice the character played by Will Smith in the original version, I felt an immediate connection. Lance Sterling is an incredible character with humour and wit and I really wanted to do the role justice,” Qusai said about the project. “The film is smart, funny and hugely entertaining and I can’t wait for audiences in the Middle East to watch it.” The recording of the Arabic version took place in Cairo at Al Masreya Media under the guidance of dubbing director, Tarek Ebeid. The film will be released on Thursday, December 26. Qusai rose to fame as Saudi Arabia's first professional hip hop artist.
