The cinema will run until August 8, according to local media
Moviegoers have flocked to the first drive-in open air cinema in the city of Sidi Bou Said, Tunisia.
Cine Drive Sidi Bou Said opened in the coastal Tunisian town on Friday, July 24.
Held in the municipal car park, the cinema has a capacity for 250 cars and a maximum of 1,000 people to watch a film at once. The opening night of the event, a screening of Bad Boys 3, was sold out.
The cinema will run until Saturday, August 8, and will feature films such as Sonic The Hedgehog, The Grudge and The Call of the Wild.
Drive-in cinemas have made a comeback since the outbreak of the pandemic, after indoor cinemas were forced to close. In the UAE, drive-in cinemas have opened in Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi. Dubai alone has had a number of drive-in cinemas open at The Dubai Mall, Mall of the Emirates and Dubai Hills Estate.
