The public events and workshops tied to the Guggenheim Abu Dhabi exhibition titled The Creative Act: Performance, Process, Presence that is currently showing at Manarat Al Saadiyat continues this weekend with something for all the family.
On Saturday (May 6) children aged between six and 12 will be able to take part in a kinetic art workshop. This means, they will make a sculpture that moves and makes its own drawings at the same time. They will also be able to take their creations home.
For adults and teens, aged 13 years and above there will be a sound mixing workshop
Inspired by artist Anri Sala’s musical video piece Ravel, Ravel, Unravel, which is shown as part of the exhibition and has a room of its own so that the viewers can experience the audio and visual treat, the participants of the workshop will use sound to create their own aural compositions. Participants will mix, make, record, and sample their own sound pieces under the guidance of a professional musician and DJ specialist.
