Fatema Al Mazrouie’s exhibition Man Who Built a Nation showcases works of UAE’s founding President

The Emirati artist Fatema Al Mazrouie will present her works that are inspired by Sheikh Zayed, the founding President of the UAE, in the exhibition Man Who Built a Nation.

A graduate of the visual arts and design programme at Zayed University, Al Mazrouei was chosen in 2013 as Salwa Zeidan Gallery’s featured signature artist at Abu Dhabi Art. She has participated in three group exhibitions in London, was one of 50 Emirati artists at the Art Foundation Paris and has also been selected as one of the participating artists of Portrait of the Nation show this year, organised by Abu Dhabi Music and Arts Foundation.

Says Al Mazrouei, “As an Emirati woman, I can’t help but accredit all of the opportunities and support we receive to Sheikh Zayed’s profound respect for women. His progressive vision has brought forth much understanding for the importance of education and evolution – a legacy that continues to help our people prosper long after his passing. This collection celebrates the attributes of our culture that I am proudest of.”
