Abjad, the sculptures by Erin Meekhof that won this year’s Christo and Jeanne-Claude award, which is presented by New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) in partnership with ADMAF, was installed yesterday at the Al Qattara Arts Centre in Al Ain.

This is the last location on the travelling tour for the five sculptures that the NYUAD student designed and conceived last year after completing a linguistics course.

Curated by Meagan Kelly Horsman, the art works were installed at the university campus in March, moved to the Liwa desert in April and will be in Al Ain until May 25th. After being stored away for the summer, Abjad will make another appearance in Sharjah in September.
