Artists to begin painting for Dubai Canvas 3D Art Festival next week



Four Emirati artists will showcase their work at the Dubai Canvas 3D Art Festival this year. Organised by Brand Dubai, the creative arm of the Government of Dubai Media Office, in partnership with Meraas, the event will also features the works of 25 international artists. From March 1-7, the artists will converge on City Walk to showcase their skills.

It is a great opportunity for the local artists - Asma Al-Khori, Fatma Al Ali, Maitha Al-Marri, and Sara Al-Khori - to be exposed to the work of established talent from all over the world.

Ayesha bin Kalli, the project manager for Dubai Canvas said that Brand Dubai continuously support local artists. “I am glad with the participation of the four local artists,” she says. “In all the events organised by Brand Dubai, we ensure the participation of local artists, and support them to unleash their talents. This is part of our comprehensive plans to support national youth talents, and enhance their involvement in the local artistic scene”.

The artists will start working on their creations at City Walk during next week, from February 22 to 28, giving the public an invaluable opportunity to watch them at work. The 25 artists will be competing with each other to win the Dh2.3 million Dubai Canvas 3D Art Award, the world’s first award that recognises excellence in 3D art.
